Mediator. Please someone help me.

Hey guys,

I've installed mediators several times in my life with no issues. Suddenly this one won't work. Here's the issue:

The computer is an A4000 with CSPPC booting from scsi (pfs3) and I have it in an Elbox tower. The mediator has the shark ppc jumper closed, the other two open. Oddly enough I can't use the cybervision64/3d in this mediator (have yet to try it in another computer) but the scandoubler works fine...it just won't show up in showconfig or picasso96prefs. Well, the scandoubler doesn't work fine...it shows some goofy color sets and flickers a lot.

Anyway, i have removed ALL cards and have reinstalled the software from scratch twice. I have configured the voodoo card settings in devs:monitors/ as appropriate, yet it won't show any voodoo cards in picasso96prefs. Then, when I checked out pciinfo, it says that it can't find pci.library. When I use snoopdos, it shows that it reads pci.library just fine... No idea here guys. The vendors.txt is from the mm up cd.

Please help, I'm losing my mind over here.

If you have a ZIII gfx card, if I'm correct you should have the config jumper closed, have you checked the manual?

Also depending on your Voodoo model the memory jumper should be in either 256M or 512M

I have also noticed that placing the gfx card closed to the mediator bridge helps.

Hi My friend, I'll zip up my old working System for you, everything works except Warp3D/PPC crashes, I never figured it out but otherwise you can at least use RTG, etc.

Hi thanks for the help. I closed the jumper for the zorro gfx but still see nothing in pciinfo I tried all the slots with the voodoo 3. Showconfig seems to appear that things are working. Right now the only things in any slots are the mediator bridge board, the scandoubler from the cv64/3d, and the voodoo3. Nothing again with pciinfo or in picasso96settings

Also the display through either native amiga OR through the scandoubler is extremely flakey, tested on multiple monitors.

Hi,

In my A4000D's I have CSPPC, CVPPC, Mediator, Radeon 256MB, ..... and all jumpers are closed.

If I don't remember bad, while I used voodoo cards also I had all jumpers closed.

Try also cleaning all board connectors and the Mediator slots, check power conectors & PSU.
