What is this amazing board?!

Anyone have this? Feedback? @Timtheloon - do you happen to have one? Working? Can you tell us your thoughts about it please? Cheers!

This seems like a board that should be "Re". I mean, who wouldn't want this fun device in their 2000 next to a Bridgeboard and Emplant? :) Looks relatively simple too...4 chips plus ROMS.

P.S. Now that I mentioned Emplant...I wonder why Atari ST thing never got done for it. I'm thinking it progressed to some point.

EDIT: Looks like this AMTARI is the same idea and perhaps a better candidate to "Re" since the software is available.

March 15th Edit: FYI Someone who owned/used Medusa shared feedback:
"They were ok, but like the Amiga, the Atari ST has some customs chips that could not be emulated, most real good software were searching for specific hardware, so the compatibility was not very good."
Re: Emplant. May of us are fans of the board for Mac emulation and we may remember the ads that said Atari ST may come in the future. A little email exchange about Atari ST emulation with Emplant that I think is worth sharing.

> Long time Emplant fan. A little question from the past. Atari ST on the Emplant - did it ever happen?

We did not create an Atari ST emulator for the Amiga. The whole Amiga market collapsed before there
was time to finish that.

...and so we come back to needing custom chips or FPGA, which points us to MISTer maybe?

I have one! I think it is complete. I would have to look and check.

I have never used it though. The Zorro board appears to be extremely basic! the last time I looked at it, I was struck by how sparse the board actually is.

If you do have one @ElectroBlaster I would like to see if we can clone the IC's on it, the version 2 I have doesn't seem to work, I know the Atari Roms on it do work in an original Atari ST so I know this is not the issue.

we could also see if @hese could replicate it if this is something he would be interested in doing willing to lend my one to help in the recreation cause.

Sounds like a plan! I have no idea why the board is needed with the roms, unless it is somekind of withcraft going on which then works alongside the emulator.

I forgot I had it, began sorting/sifting my hoard of stuff and suddenly came accross it.

I have been asked to do some pictures, so I will get that sorted and upload so everyone interested can view :)

There are two versions the v2 has the roms onboard and is more compatible with 020 & 030 CPU's

I just learned about STonAmiga that's on Aminet. Maybe mandatory install for anyone with a PiStorm. :)
