I've noticed recently that there seems to be a few Danes (or folks living in Denmark) signed up on Amibay now. Being located in this fine Country myself, I thought it might be nice to arrange a small meetup somewhere.

First of all though, who would like to meet up?

I would :)

I'm definitely in! Just have to find a good venue..

My thoughts are that we meet up somewhere like a basement or function room often connected to residential areas.

Something i've noticed here in Denmark is that most apartment blocks have these facilities for private parties etc. I'm hoping someone may live in such a place and have free or very cheap access to one of these locations. I unfortunately don't have such access as I live in a house. Any of you guys?

I'm thinking we can make it say a meetup on a weekend day where we get together for the morning and hang out till evening. Bring along some of our kit and geek out along with drinking a selection of fine ales :D

And if it works well, we can make it a regular thing.

TroelsDK, great! I'm fine with Copenhagen, do you have access to a common basement or party room where you live that we could use?

There is a "party room" but it's quite expensive... I don't have a huge apartment, but if we are not going to be to many there is room. We just need some tables and chairs... Always room for an Amiga party :)

Great idea!!! I'm game

As long as it's near Copenhagen.

Hah, I'd be up for that too.

I don't have access to any sort of "party room"though.

...what really sold the idea for me was the mentioning of beer.

TroelsDK, how many could you comfortably fit in your place? And Tables, yeah, that could be a problem. I'd bring our dining table if I could fit it on the train :D

Sokurah, great stuff! And yeah, Beer is always good for me too. There has to be beer for me to even consider a meetup!

I'd say about 10... I can always move my sofa... I can probably borrow some chairs, but I don't know about the tables... I only have a low sofa table and a normal sized dinner table... Maybe someone have a folding table they could bring in their car or something... Or we'll just sit on the floor

It would have to be on a Saturday, and an "uneven numbered week"
(Like this is week #9)

I hate "cancelers" and "lates" so only serious joiners! I imagine meeting up around 11-12 AM and gaming etc. till late evening, possibly even continuing on Sunday, if you bring an air-mattress :D There are a shopping centre right around the corner where we can get food and beverages
I live in Rødovre (7 km from Copenhagen downtown)

Can't join in, but I think this idea is great!

I hope you all have a blast.

If we can get together a regular team then we can always invest in one or two in a fold-up tables if Troels is willing to store them..

10 folks! Thats great! :D The fold up table idea is awesome too! I'll be up for investing in one.

Odd weekend Saturday is fine for me (as long as its free on our family diary of course). I'll find out which of the coming weekends I have free.

Have any of you guys got a decent WHDload setup? My A1200 is pretty much in a mess software wise right now so it will be more to faff with and look at than play games (although its running Wipeout 2097 quite awesomely ATM). I can bring extra Joypads/Joysticks if needed.

I should get my A1200 whdload up ans running. Maybe I can do it in time :)

I'm game!
My Amiga is pretty well stocked with WHDLOAD stuff, and I've got a couple of CD32's too. One has a problem with sound, but I guess that could be some of the caps that needs replacing? Maybe we should bring the soldering iron and open up a couple of machines. I have been doing this quite a lot when attending console gaming parties, modding and fixing consoles for people, and actually also with some fellow Amiga fans once.

I live in a house in the middle of Jutland, but taking the trip to the big island is ok with me, as long as it is for more than just a day. So a whole weekend sounds nice.

Also watching demos and having a beer or two with people who still appreciate what the old hardware can do is quite high on my list of favorite things to do :D

All right everyone, this is actually going to happen by the looks of it! :)

We'll works something out with the tables.. I have a 42" flatscreen and 2x28" old tv's wich works fine. It will be the whole weekend, but If you only want to come 1 day that will be fine to. Just bring airmattress and sleeping bag :)
I could really use some help with WHDLoad and looks like some of you could to, so getting together and helping each other out with that to would be awesome!

I will suggest these follow weekends :
17-18/3,
31/3-1/4,
14-15/4
28-29/4

Let me know witch ones are OK for you, and we'll pick the one where the most are able to show.

I'm good with any of those weekends.

If anyone have have any hw. fixing to do, I can provide soldering services on the spot (I have pro equipment) I also have components (pretty much all connectors and chip sockets for the Amiga and Commodore). Please PM me if you need this service so I can prepare.

Ok i've checked with "The Boss" (wife) and looking at the family planner I have these times free: -

Saturday 31st March (but not the Sunday)
Saturday 28th April/Sunday 29th April

My wife is pretty rampant with our planning :D

I can't bring any soldering equipment as I use all my work gear when i'm modding etc  (my own soldering iron is a cheapo effort) but will assist in any mods/repair if needed. I have a small selection of my own caps that i've gathered over the last year, so will bring them incase anyone needs some.
