Hey there,
So I bought a new television the other day as the old one had finally given up after years of service, hooked up my Mega Drive and this is where my small problem began.
Whenever I turn on the Mega Drive, if in 50hz it comes up straight away no problems, if I change to 60hz or have it already in 60hz the screen goes black and I can hear the audio fade in and out for about 10 seconds before the image appears, after that everything runs fine. This problem is only specific to the Mega Drive as well, my SNES hooked up via RGB can change between 50/60hz without any problems.
My questions are,
Will this do any harm to the tv in the long run?
If yes, would replacing the cable fix this?
