I want to buy it if it works on an amiga 500

I can't see why it shouldn't as it just connects to the serial port and the manual simply refers to 'Amiga' - I'm sure they would have mentioned if they didn't mean the A500

Because he might fry his system if it is for the Amiga = A1000 due to the different pinout.

It's a reasonable question to ask as I am under the impression that at the time of the A1k the system was just referred to as "Amiga", later it was more common to actively differentiate between A500 and A2000.

The BBOAH or amiga.resource.cx might help.

no, 1992 would be A500 / A2000.

It just refers to 'Amiga'. I have used this successfully on an A1200 to sync an Akai MPC.

Well, thats the answer then - if it worked for the A1200 it will work with an A500 very well.
Only the A1000 had a different pinout there.
