A Teco TR3540 mini client with VIA eden cpu 1,2ghz and 256mb RAM.
Tried the mod recommended at vogons in order to provide more power for the pci slot from underneath the mobo, but unfortunately a pci sound card could not be recognized.
Did not test all pci sound cards, only the ones I had handy. Maybe something more is needed on the riser ? Could be.
Also added a 5v connector in order to use with a cf card but I could not get dos installed in it so I have been using it with Freedos via a bootable usb stick
which is recognized perfect.
P.s: I had initially removed the cpu and chipset heatsinks as well as the bracket for the pci slot.
As always when removing stuff can't seem to find them at the moment

Edit: Sorry for bumping earlier than expected , but I have an update in case someone is interested.
I borrowed a cmi 8738 pci card from a friend of mine and after I disabled the on-board via sound card , the cmi is correctly detected and configured under freedos and sbemu,
So the mod actually works for a cmi 8738
Also tested doom and monkey island 2 successfully under freedos with proper sound.
Cmi 8378 pci sound card not included in sale , I have to give it back, but I am sure you can find one easily.
