Alright, I just scored one of these. Only problem is, the cable to connect to the amiga's RGB socket is missing.

Even worse, is it's db25 on the genlock end.

Where on earth do I get a DB25 (male) to DB23 (female) cable from?

If you can get the pinout of it, you can get the connectors... But getting the pinout is another matter :(

DB25 is easy to get and common as muck.

The problem here lies with the amiga's weird, weird weird weird DB23 video connector.

I'm going to look around where I scored it from for the right cable. It's probably there, I was in a rush though so just grabbed the genlock and left.

In the same area, there should be a Squirrel SCSI, A1200 PSU and mouse, and I assume a scsi drive. I was told I could have the same setup (took the a1200 unit ASAP), but never really get much of a chance to go rooting though.

Cannibalise a video cable, like a cheapo Amiga SCART cable or an even cheaper Amiga Video to VGA cable that might end up cheap...

The connectors are available by themselves, there's some on t'other bay in Germany...

I'll check my parts box, too, as I've got a feeling I've got a couple of knackered cables. Won't be until Friday though, as I'm off to Zurich tomorrow (as you do).

Or, failing that, AmigaManiac has them

Or maybe you have a busted external floppy??? They usually had a DB23F for through-port...

no luck, couldn't find one where I got it.

how should I go about getting the pinout on the genlock end?

I have one of these genlocks that I could sell as a whole. It's NTSC but I'm sure the connector between the Amiga and the GVP are the same no matter what the video standard is. Of course, getting the cable by itself from the other bay would probably be cheaper. :(

Could you post a picture of the cable? Might help in tracking one down.

Working out the pinout would be nice as well but you don't have to bother.

Dude, here's a few pics of what you need, albeit a bit lousily taken due to my condition -sorry 'bout that- ; but i doubt it will help you at all...
What you really need is the pinout, and me being single-handed right now (left working ok) can't do much atm.
I have asked a friend to visit tomorrow night so we can do the measurements together. I'll keep you posted

Connector is available from amigamaniac as above...

Pinout: you need someone kind who has a cable to map the cable's connections for you. This'll take 10 minutes maximum with a multimeter...

Yes, salaxi54 has offered to get me the pinout. scroll up.

Excellent! It looks like Salaxi54 will be able to get the information to you. :) I hope you're able to get it working well.

Hope you manage to build it, and i suggest you ask here if anyone has a busted external floppy like i said earlier, so they can give you the socket you need. Wish i could, but the one i got recently (busted) has been used for video purposes too... :(
