What player would be good to play mod, med etc?

And will I be able to play mods bigger than what I can allocate in ram?

Try this:-> http://aminet.net/package/mus/play/DeliTracker232

(N.b. I don't know if it will work in anything less than A1200, however...
Big thanks must go to Chris Hodges for improving the 14Bit-NotePlayer
and several players. Everyone with an 020+ Amiga is highly recommended
to install his improved genie instead of the original one (the genie
can be found in the Bonus directory). It's also a must have if you've
a soundcard.
so it probably will be OK in A600.)

Worked like a charm. :)

Now if I only found out how to select more than one file in a dialogbox (select sound files(s) to add) I'd be a happy puppy :) (adding one and one is long winded)

Try also Ed Player, good small player for 68000 Amigas.

Nice, I'll try that too. For some reasons I feel the mods come more alive on the Amiga. So right now it's mods playing on the Amiga while I'm developing for android on the mac. :p

To be honest, if you've got 2MB Chip, even something as big as OctaMED should be fine playing most MOD files. A 1MB Amiga sometimes struggles with larger MODs, but I've never had a problem with a 2MB system.

Might have told the story before, but:

I used OctaMED to produce the one and only song I have ever written in my life that was not only possible to listen to without thinking I was tone deaf - not only that, it was also played before an audience

Had a music class, we had to have an instrument. My instrument was OctaMED. ;) and we had to perform what we made as project.

To get a melody using Tonica, Dominant and Subdominant was a breeze with the note editor. It was a basic tune without anything more to it than a melody and no depth.

On mine (V2.27), you can drop files into the control window... including multi-select (drag mouse over more than one file, press shift, drag'n'drop). No need to use file-requesters. The "card-stack" above the disk icon (bottom right of control window) opens the DeliTracker Program window, so you can see/edit/etc. the playlist.

Did you RTFM?

Ed: I've just dropped the entire CDPD Vol.1 Modules drawer onto the control window. It's created a playlist of 304 entries...
