A loft find here at home and no space for it: Here we have what appears to be a no name game console, ehm, actually it has a name: SUPER Arcade Video Game from the well known maker of MaxWise Technology. :)

Comes in tested condition complete with 2 controllers (one works fine, the other seems a bit unstable), light gun, RF cable and PSU.

It has a cart slot on the top and it boasts to have 9999 built-in games, but reality is a bit more humble: I've located about 5-6 games:

Super Mario
Battle City (Battle Tank ?)
Galaxian
Lunar Ball (some kind of pool)
Duck Hunt
Crazy Gunner (or something)

I'd also like to point out the other amazing features:
- High garde multipurpose use (no comment)
- Japan component (probably)
- More compact for easier use (looks pretty compact to me)
- Dual turbo function key (couldn't find this)
- Power Microprocessor (whatever that is)

Somehow, two still pictures found their way to the box art. One from the poster of Terminator 2 sporting Arnold Schwarzenegger, and one of the annoying kid from Home Alone. But I guarantee that these two movies have no relation to the console or the games whatsoever, but still, I'm somewhat impressed.

Sorry for the fuzzy screenshots, I don't have a very good cam here.

In short, it looks like some kind of NES knock-off and yours for the amazing price of £6 + postage as PP gift. Declare interest and send a PM.

Shipping as unregistered letter is £12 within the EU and £17 anywhere else. No compensation for damaged or lost parcel. And there is (understandably) no warranty or returns.

Interested (as its bloody weird), what are the pad ports, Sega ones?

Power supplies, will it work in the UK?

I have no clue, and unfortunately no extra pads here to test them. The ports look exactly like on the Amigas or on the C64 i.e. 9 pin like this:

The PSU is 220V wall plug, should work fine in the UK just need an EU-> UK converter plug, which goes for about one pound on Ebay.

Please send a PM if interested.

Thanks for checking I'll have to withdraw interest..

I have a bit of an interest in Famiclones, and can answer the controllers question with 99% certainty.

Those ports may look like standard Atari/Amiga/Sega/etc. ports, but they usually aren't compatible and can in some cases get fried, or can fry the controller, if you plug something intended for one of those platforms into a Famiclone with ports like that.

Generally, controllers from other Famiclones are just fine, however, because nowadays they're all pretty much based on the same one or two NES-on-a-Chip designs that have been floating around for ages.

I hope that this is useful to you guys, and, tbtorro, good luck with your sale. (And thanks for the very amusing opening post - it got a laugh out of me. )

Ok thanks

Its strange the one I already have (Called "Creation")has normal Nintendo ports (and takes all NES things) it is shaped like a mini NES, but it came with 9-pin controllers

Things like this are exactly what I want for Computer club

Some NES-clones (the only difference tends to be the cartridge connector, and sometimes the controller ports) made from 2003 onwards have NES-compatible controller ports, for what it's worth. If memory serves, certain peripherals (the four-player adapter springs to mind for some reason, but I haven't looked this up in some time) may not work, though.

Great stuff, thanks for clearing up a bit, and yes this was more of a novelty thread than a sale thread.. I would have hated to chuck this out, as it's functional and all. But I have an snes and several other consoles so sadly storage space is at premium.
