Hi Guys!

As well as sharing my projects on my favorite Amiga sites such as Amibay and EAB I have setup my own Website & Blog. I've done this for a couple of reasons, firstly I wanted proper storage for my photo's (bye bye Photo Bucket!) and thought a blog would be a pretty cool way to share my projects.

I hope to make it useful with FAQ's, guides and links to tutorial Video's on my Youtube Channel and maybe even be a resource within the Amiga/Retr0 computing community.

Please feel free to take a look, it's very early days and only a basic Wordpress blog at the moment, gallery, etc to come soon!

Thanks for looking!

Steve.

Makes sense buddy, been a long time coming. :)

Looking forward to reading it as it develops. Your project threads on here are always a good read.

Thanks for the words of inspiration guys, I hope I can deliver!

Was the WordPress hard to set up?

Thanks!

It's very easy, there was a step by step guide on my hosts website :)

Now I just have to start adding some content :D

Good luck Steve! Blogs are just difficult to keep up with and most people lose interest unless they get a good number of people commenting on the posts. I'll certainly keep my eye on your site. :)

Websites are all in all hard to keep up with. I have tried to make one that i'll keep updated about once every second year since mid 90s. Still haven't succeeded.

So I wish you the best of luck. I'll put it in my rss feed long with the rest. :)

Looking good Steve, enjoyed the first article.

You should think about adding Google Analytics so you can see where people are coming from, what they're looking at etc. It's much easier to make judgements on than forum posts :) Let me know if you want a hand implementing it.

This looks great steve looking forward to your updates

Thanks guys and thanks for the tip Ed, I gotta lot to learn

Site now bookmarked!

Sent from my HTC One X.

Great website Steve, I book marked the your site, I really enjoyed your first article. I know how hard it can be to keep a website, I have had an Amiga site up for a while but finding the time to update is always hard. Great work Steve!

Thanks guys, I'm hoping to add another article this weekend :)

Hi All!

I updated my Blog with a new article :)

http://www.fitzstevesamigaworld.co.uk/?p=42

I also added an online shop & forum to the site but I haven't linked them on the main page yet, I thought it would be cool to offer some of my sales also on my own site (like my CF setup service) but it's very early days!

The shop doesn't fully work yet so better not buy anything ;)

Thanks for reading & I look forward to bringing the next article soon.

Steve.

Looking good Steve. One more piece of advice, in the Wordpress settings you should change the permalink structure to use the post name in the URL rather than just, for example, ?p=42 as it is set now. This will help people find your articles in search engines, and of course look nicer.
