Hi i been playing this game since about 1997..
Its called The realm online. We used to have about 2000 players.
it was owned by sierra. then codemasters, and now finally by a company called norseman games..
It is the 1st Gui based MMORPG. and is where the basis of games lilke everquest and wow came from..
But as it was the 1st one.. it definatly isnt all about the gfx..
Any way.. recent years have seen the player base deminish to really low levels, a lot have passed away, and others have just had life come allong and make it impossible to play..
its turn based. and a slow pased game at that.
you can enchant your weapons/armour you find, (if your a wizzie) or can ask some one els to do it for you..
I am making little back packs of a few items to help ppeople get started if they come allong..
(im meatmarket, mmsbetterga, toughmeat) and a few other toons..
my wife is usually on as caris or h0pe
so say hello if you do come and try it out.
The reason i chose today to come tell yo is because we are currently having a week long festival in the game. this should bring back some of the players that are to busy to realm on a daily basis.
so you should get a better picture of what the game is like..

i would reccomend a a Giant adventurer as my fave toon type.
although all intell elf wizzies are very powerfull but not till later levels...
and all strength giant wariors are good for bashing things..
It has a FREE WEEK trial. which i hope many of you will just try it to see if you like it. (remember to cancell subscription after you get your log on info. you can re enable the subscription later if you want to play longer $6.99 a month)
I know you are all retro fans, and this is the most retro of the GUI based mmorpgs.
and it is sad to see the lack of players.
So if you dont want to play but know some one you think may want to play..
send them over..

People are very sceptial of "new players"
so if your gonna tell people your really a new player..
also mention that "meat" (thats me) came and told you about the game and asked you to try it..
you should find that will mean people believe you
