With the arrival of a GBA Micro from Phipsy I though it was time to share some pics of the handheld collection with ya'll.

I danno why but I just love handheld games consoles, I guess it's because I travel quite a bit and can't bare to be away from Games (especially retr0) for too long, and on a long haul flight you really need entertainment if you're an insomniac like me

Anyway, this is the little collection I've built up over the years, of course sadly some were sold along the way but this is everything I own today

PSP (sorry battery was flat) it's the Phat version and has CFW installed :)
Gamegear (works but didn't have enough batteries to switch it on!)
GBA ADV SP, bit tatty but works, I have Supercard CF which also works on DS with Supercard passthrough.
GBA Micro (newest addition to the group!)
Fat DS & DS Lite(not pictured wife has hidden it) with R4 & DSTwo cards :ninja:
GP32 (broke :()
GP2x bought to replace the GP32
Neo Geo Pocket, game inside is Metal Slug

Yep sure do - it's an older version though now though, I'm still playing old Games lol :)

What's the latest CFW all the kool kids are using now?

Nice collection Fitzsteve. Handhelds are easy to collect and store! Nice and compact.

I have a challenge for you for 2013 and to help get your feedback to 1000. Try and find

Atari Lynx
Sega Nomad
Sega Megajet (sold for use on Airplanes)

Enjoy

I was really impressed with your Nomad when I saw it at Keiths, I do want one - only thing stopping me is MD emulation is perfect on the GP32/x :)

What, no TurboDuo? Or whatever the turbografx handheld was called :)

I saw one a while back, indeed regret not buying it - or maybe I missed out as was stuck in line? Maybe for 2013 :D

Jawsome!!!!

Thanks mate

@Roy - Nice

I will have to experiment again, I lost ability to play Homebrew with the last update, can you play it on yours?

I think I have 16gb on mine (would have to check!) About 15 games on it...

yes steve i can use homebrew no probs on mine,if i was you i wouldnt go past the CFW i have if you have a 1000 or 2000.

That is quite a collection.
I would only bother with a Nomad for completist purposes. For normal use it's a bit pants without battery and screen mods.

Awesome collection you got going there Steve! Glad the little GB Micro got to you ok and is settling in with his new buddies :)

If you want to expand your collection even further I deffo recommend a PC Engine GT, its quite an amazing machine. The Atari Lynx is a must too being another child of Jay Miner :) I keep resisting buying one because i'm trying not to get carried away (again) but that and a Dreamcast might be soon imminent. :D

Excellent Stuffs there and handheld is so small and you dont have worry about space :D

Well Done Fitzsteve :)

Thanks guys :)

@Phipsy,

I just missed a nice Lynx at a Car boot sale a couple of months back, I was gutted. Some fat bloke with glasses beat me too it, he got it for a fiver with a job lot of Games :(

Some good news, after posting this I checked eBay for GP32's and picked up one of the FLU's in an auction that just ended, these were earlier ones that were known for better overclocking.

I'm quite excited now

Nice collection Steve, the PSP i had (3000 series) had 6.60 Pro-B10 and it played pretty much everything i threw at it. On the 2000/3000/Go it has to be launched each time the console is started but on the 1000 there is a permanent patch for it.

i used to have a pc engine gt, must say though that the battery life and screen quality were rubbish and the speakers broke, but it did have a quirky charm to it, cost me £70 with 14 games, mate told me he knew someone selling a gameboy type thing, so he brought it round and i couldnt believe it.

but its one of the only retro gaming systems i sold, much better to play via emulation than on the original hardware due to the screen. If you could somehow stick in a gba ags 101 screen into it that would be amazing

i would have to have a lynx in there "the 2nd version mind you"

great collection though.

edit

just saw this

Thanks guys
