My A500 internal floppy is giving out too many errors and I already gave it a good cleaning but to no avail. Time to replace it.

I don't care whether I get an exact OEM replacement or not, but ideally I don't want to have to do any modding to fit it into my A500 case.

Also, if anyone wants the original Chinon FB-354 I pulled for parts or refurb then let me know. It is still functioning so-so but often will not read certain disks that are easily read in another drive. It is free to whomever minus freight charges to your location. Pic below:

I almost forgot, the eject button on the Chinon I have was repaired some long time ago with epoxy and is pretty well attached permanently. I can at least make a custom eject button if necessary on a new drive.

Jon Hare is selling some NOS Chinon FB-354 drives in this thread -- One of these should do the trick quite nicely. You'll probably need to change the eject button and possibly have to remove the LED, but you shouldn't have to do any mods on the Amiga.

Yeah, thx Andy. Much appreciated ;)

Will PM you :)

Sounds good, thanks Jon & Andy.

Have a look at my current drive button, may or may not be movable to a new drive depending on how determined that epoxy is going to be:
