Closed Need someone in UK able to test A4OO0T VIDEO/AUDIO module

My 4000T is no longer producing any image from its video module, however the computer still boots and the audio is working.

I notice on the main motherboard a couple of caps have leaked badly, so I'm not sure if the video module has simply failed, are if perhaps the caps leakage has caused a more serious problem on the motherboard itself.

I need someone in the UK that can please test the module to give me a better idea of what level of repairs might be required before I look about getting the system recapped.

Hi,

I'd recommend having the motherboard and modules serviced at the same time. If you can get a scan doubler to slot into the video slot you might be able to see if you're still getting Video generated.

There's a lot of caps on the modules too IIRC so best to get them all done together. You can find many users on Amibay that offer these services, The_Corfiot, tbtorro to name a couple that I would recommend.
