What's wrong with the Linksys WAG54G? I might be interested in that, but it depends on the fault.

Re: Networkee type gubbins

In a nutshell its a fairly common fault with these routers.
The ADSL and Wireless are both fine but the LAN ports are unresponsive if you use 'Auto-negotiation'. You have to drop down to 10Mb/Half Duplex to get any connection.
The last thing I remember doing was flashing the firmware but it didn't fix it.
Apparently it may be fixable with some discrete soldering and replacement of caps.
However, I haven't even powered this on for over a year (at least) so am not even sure what it's current state is.

Re: Networkee type gubbins

If the ADSL and the wireless still work fine then I will definitely have it. I don't need the LAN ports for what I had in mind, which was to setup a wireless internet connection for my parents to use at their house. They wouldn't need wired networking.

And if it can be repaired with a few CAP replacements then I would give it a go, as it would be good soldering practice. ;)

Re: Networkee type gubbins

Interested on the ADSL filters only. Can you toss it on the ever-growing box that Zetr0 have with my name on it? :wink

Just to spare good items to go binned.
