I joined the kickstarted early on for the reproduced C64 cases, not that i needed any really but i wanted to support it. Well they have winged their way from the good old US or A to my door via a customs charge and here the little beauties are...

I'm impressed :)

i better build one up i suppose.

mike.

I'm hoping he does another run of the clear so I can pick one of them up. I also hope he does a black version. If not, I'll have to put my leet painting skills to work.

Sadly, I was not too impressed.
The "original color" case is not the right color, it is somewhat "off". Cant explain it, must be seen next to a non-yellowed original 64C case.
Also, the red case I got has some discoloration problems (white spots).

I expected higher quality, but maybe I expected too much...

apparently customs are contacting the addressee, ie me, presumably to pay up before they'll let me have my cases. Hope it happens soon and doesnt cost an arm and a leg!

All I wanted was a transparent case but as far as I understood the kickstarter rules, you couldn't order one separately...

He's starting to list them on eBay. They are more expensive than the Kickstarter but you could order a clear without having to order any other colors.

Could be... :) The numbering is a bit of a gimmick as they were randomly assigned and there are actually three stickers containing the same number with each case. That means that there are nine stickers in the world with the same numbers for three cases.

Got mine as well. White, original and transparent. Was hit with a 330 SKR ($40) charge for customs. Did not expect that =(

Now just waiting for the transparent keys as well.
