They got just the name (not even the C= logo), so what?
Another piece of shit, like the 'web.it' that pretends to be 'Commodore'.

Chris

It's just a long existing system, that is being rebranded. (it has been around for years):D

Could be nice if you like to buy a PC.

So this thread is for those that have not heard of it and want to check it out. Appreciate your comments either way..

Cheers,

Oh no! ZPC again! This machine is a complete utter garbage.

ZPC = Zero Footprint PC. The company renamed it. It always have a heavy return due guaranty issues & RMA.

Well the photshopping does not disturb me.. I did it ones for major A brand beverage, well known, that introduced a new product, but did not have the right beverage stickers..

So fiddling with that is quite ok to me.. I feel already what is going to happen, since there is no member overhere talking about any "new" product of commodore, it's not going to sell much, at least not to us.

+100000 Agree. If something is going to bring fun to Amiga community and Amiga enthusiasts this will be NatAmi and/or the X1000. Not this garbage.

A min-itx board retrofitted inside a C64 case is better that this...

Chris

This "C-64 Rebirth" idea is so full of "Meh" it's not funny... it's not as if they've even innovated - they are just rebadging an existing machine...

Epic Fail.

Putting a mini-itx in a C64 is one of my failed projects, due to lack of funds, getting a more expensive low profile mini-itx board.. (cooler to huge)

Let's hope they get some money, and spend it on some research for the community.

@Jurgen: to solve the mini-ITX C64 problem: why not a lateral fan and a suitable heatsink?

I did not know about hot glue those day's and learned more hackery overhere..

So might attemp another trie (I have the 1541 usb cdrom already), but not this month:( I only needed to cut parts from the heatsink, I realise..

The keyboard interface (usb)is on sale and already bought it.

It's sad the stream of s**t being made from these C= and Amiga brands that once stood so tall. Them names have lost all it's cred and at this rate will never recover (certainly won't ever be forgotten).
Just wished it all died in 1994 (well until the remake of the 4000T and 1200 anyway), that way it would have kept all it's dignaty.

I guess if you WinUAE'd it, it might make an acceptable modern-day Amiga replacement.

And yes, it's tragic how the 'Commodore' and 'Amiga' brands were bought out by useless marketroids who thought that putting a shiny name of a lump of turd would make people buy it. Madness.

Therein lies the problem, Andy; The "Tarquins" and "Jemimas" in Marketing only know how to hype things into the stratosphere; they know absolutely nothing about history, heritage or how to make something actually appeal to retro enthusiasts such as we are, or how the thing actually works, for that matter.... They would say something like

"Motorola? Don't they make mobile phones or something......??"

In my experience, Marketing types are usually Apple fans....that kind of says it all.....I bet they've never seen an Apple II.
