Hello! I'm sorta new around here, but not new to Amiga. I've had these machines since they came on the scene. Over the years, I have amassed an enormous collection of Amiga Hardware and Software. There is enough to fill a decent sized van.

I'm running into storage space issues, and I am thinking about thinning the collection out a bit. I want to follow the rules, but I'm not sure how to tackle the task of pricing stuff or how to combine items together. Some of the items I have are pretty rare, and finding similar examples out there might be pretty hard.

Some of the stuff includes an A3000T, a 4000 tower Conversion (Ambitious technologies). a Toaster Oven Switchbox full of boards, several A2000s, including one in a rack mount case, various 020, 030 and 040 accel boards, ram boards, A1000s, A500s genlocks ( supergens, Magni, GVP), picasso boards, a Live!2000 board, a Visual Aurals One Module, Lightworks Graphics Synthesizer, Midi Interfaces, ethernet cards, SCSI cards, bridgeboards, Aamax and Emplant boards, Monitors, GVP Phonepak, Toasters.. then, there is the software. thousands of disks, all original. It goes on and on.

I'd love any pointers you all might have in how I might approach putting these items up for sale. I doubt anyone would buy it as a single lot.

I'm glad there is a community of people who appreciate how great this stuff is and how ahead of it's time it was! Thanks!

The truth is: a fair price is one you willing to part with your items and a seller buy it.

Here on Amibay we surely can't point you a price, you are free to offer for what you think is fair, nothing else.

BTW: welcome. :)

To expand on what Rkauer said:

Search previous For Sale items listed here on items you are about to offer. This will give you a general indication as to the amount you can ask for. Of course, should you deem such pricing too low or high then adjust your own sales accordingly. Logically, the rarer the item the higher the price but consider how much you would be willing to pay if offered said item.

When it comes to combining items for sale, it might be best if you list each system and other items separately. This doesn't stop you offering combinations of such i.e. "If you take this item, I will offer you this other item at a discount otherwise this is the individual price".

Software is much easier. Again, you can sell as individual items or bundle them up in say items of 5 or 10 for a specific price you have in mind.

High quality photo's or 'pr0n' of hard to find items (or not) are always welcome - just post them either in the Photo Booth thread or in personal albums which can be accessed via your profile or User CP (Control Panel)

In summing up ...

Welcome to Amibay and enjoy your stay :)

Wow, sell a 3000T ? :wooha:
I wouldn't do that if I were you, you're going to regret that.

But like most said, look trough the sold archive and have a good read on the rules :readit:
And please for the love of God, don't look at Evilbay.

Also keep in mind that postage is going to be a killer for people in Europe, Asia and Aussieland with things like a 3000T, I know these things weigh a ton.

Other than that, welcome ;)
