Hi,
I started a collection two years ago with Intellivisiion which I had when I was young. Still have the original console and cartridge CIB I owned during that era. However, the console broke (black screen) and did not have all games. At the time, we had about 4x games which was a lot at the time.
Two years ago, I won two auctions containing rare games on eBay which was totalizing nearly 100 games CIB all in very good conditions. The collection was completed (except for the only rare expensive game). Because we never owned a ColecoVision - the WANTED console at the time - started that collection too but went for loose cartridges only because it was too expensive to go for CIB.
Once completed, I started the Intellivision Homebrews (only the three first titles missing - also in the expensive category). Then got bored again. Then I started with the VIC 20, which was my first computer, added the C64 and C128 to the collection. Mysteriously, my brother informed me that he still have the monitor 1902A CIB that we had at the time somewhere in my parents basement! I also went for the Amiga 1000, 500 and 1200. I tried to get the CIB as much as possible but not always possible.
I think I have a good collection list and wish to pursue to get some missing items or have them CIB. The Amiga 1000 and 500 are still not CIB. Hope to complete the collection here since that they can be found or sold in the past in the Commodore selling marchendise. Obviously, I am going for the hardware only, the software is too numerous and expensive or almost impossible to get and complete.
Enjoy retro stuff! Cheers
