Greetings from the Sierra Foothills.

After getting my fill of hardware and modifications for mainstream consoles (NES, SNES, Genesis, etc) I decided to move on to other platforms, mainly legacy Windows since I was familiar with modern Windows gaming hardware.
WinXP and Win98 machines came together without too much of a hassle; experiencing A3D2 and EAX features for the first time has been interesting and somewhat depressing as it highlights how big of a step backwards things took circa 2007.

Recently I decided it was time to take the dive into the late DOS era, which I had absolutely zero experience with; research strongly recommend Super Socket 7 with K6-2+/3+, but boards seem to be in rather high demand and short supply.
Searching for one I like, people on other sites pointed me here, and I'm sure there will be plenty of treasures to find for whatever other platforms catch my attention in the future.
