Hi everyone, hope you're all doing well!
After couple of years without an Amiga computer, i came back with 2 Amiga 2000 (Revision 6.2, bought on eBay some weeks ago).
One had a serious battery issue (leaked everywhere, but i could fix that, little (big) challenge...)
It's running well now with CD (ATA), HD (2.5") and 2x Floppy, SupraRAM2000 (4MB), 1MB Chip and Buddha (Phoenix) Controller...
The other Amiga 2000 was better looking (no battery problems), but i am using the "damaged" one anyway now (and the 2nd one is a nice backup
).
Installed is KS2.04 and WB2.1... So far so good... (just having issues with 8+3 file names on CD i burned??? KS2.04/WB2.1 problem? Can't find a solution!)
Funny thing is that an old CD (AMIGAplus 16) is working fine. All long names are shown correctly. Can be that i am doing something wrong?
Trying to add also some more speed (but insane prices for turbo board cards on eBay aren't for "normal" people anymore)
I hope i am going to be able to find here something that is payable
The main idea is to have KS3.1, OS3,1 and 68030/50 at the end. Or...
Maybe adding a GFX-Board or Indivision ECS could also be a reality, but it is all depending on how much Amiga fever really got me.
Guess time will tell...
On the other side, i am seeing that Amiga 500 can also be expended pretty well with some newer boards,
so i am asking myself now if Amiga 2000 was a good decision. Anyway, i can still switch if i notice that Amiga 500 would also meet my needs.
That it is for now...
