Its atarting to get under my skin now..
Thankfuly however the fact that this guy did lie makes my life easier but its frustrating..

Bought a 360 (i know i should have lernt from last time but i keep telling you guys im cheap)
Was advertized as fine and working never opend and had an update error.

So i contacted the seller and specifically asked if it had been opend or sent off for repair.
And i get the standard "it has never been opend or repaired" reply
I honestly dont know why i bother asking...

Any way it arrives and a quick look at the back shows me that it has been opend or atleast attempted to be opend.
So i rip off the face plate and the Security seal is stuck on all wrinkled and honestly just looks like its been stuck in place with chewing gum..

So i sighed and then went on to try and update to see what the issue was expecting a totaly banned console.
But turns out it was E66 And because i can see it has been opend im prety sure this is a matter of flashing the dvd back to firmware and it will be working again and not banned.

It does work for playing games on But i wish people would tell me the truth when i ask them a specific question.
I wont mention the place i bought it from. Theres plenty of rants with that branding in this section already.

Well its not within theiere intrest to stop them because they get a great cut of the money.

I have been selling xbmc xboxes on there. I dont think MS care any more because they dont even make them. but that is definatly not the point.
E-bay should take my adverts down.. and its not like they dont check them...
Im one of those guys that ouright state on my ebay whats been done to the xbox and ebay really dont care they get theire 15% and the money for placing the add.
funny enough i put up a place holder add advertizing the exact same things but people had to email me so i knew what they wanted so i could put the ad up for them and that came down 24 hours later with a slap on the wrist for making a place holder advert that was not going to make them any money.

it seems ebay morrals are bought for 15% of the sale and unless they are getting the actual manufacturers making complaints then they dont act on any issue because whats an end user going to do theire monopoly "sue them?"

im not a squeeky clean person. I buy reapair and then sell modifed xboxes. I also add on emulators to them, but atleast im honest about it (thats a bit of a contradiction)
But it really is prety frustrating when people outright lie about something they are selling and nothing is done about it.

Is it one of the newer machines that have RROD problem sorted? as the git may have just towled it back to life long enough to pass it onto someone else.

unfortunatly not.

im going to have to work on the dumb thing any way. and il be pretty peeved if it ends up needing to be reflowed or reballed as well as needing reflashing.
I may do an xclamp fix on it just incase but at the moment for price paid i have a working (if in need of a stock firmare flash dvd) and a powersupply so if push comes to shove i can break even off of those 2 items.

i emailed the guy who obviously knew it had been opend and he gave me a partial refund so even if he did towel it il just chalk it down to lesson lernd.
if he had kept on denying and fobing me off with lies like the last guy did it would have been sent back.
So either i have gotten my self a reasonable deal on this thing and i can get it back to stock, Or i bought a box thats going to rrod on me if i look at it wrong and paid the going rate for a psu and dvd drive. and gained a box o junk in the deal.

I've also noticed a fair few people getting away with selling rom collections on CD/DVD and they don't get their adverts removed, so it definitely is double standards on ebay, as like you say they are only interested in the 15%.

I'm sure if a developer still holding copyright on something contacted ebay directly they would then act, like Lucasarts f.ex, but otherwise I don't think they are that bothered with anything that is no longer in production.
