Sold Oktagon 508, 2MB Memory, 233MB HDD

For sale is a Oktagon 508 with 2MB memory and 233MB HDD.
Technically is it ok, but the LEDs are missing and the top-cover is a bit deformed on the front (it's bend to front at bottom).
A 233MB Quantum HDD is installed and has boot under Kick 1.3 on a Test-A500.
You don't need a extra PSU, if you have a 3.0A+ PSU.

The top-cover is bent back, so good I can and you have paint it new.

If you can confirm that this harddisk works on an old Amiga 500 KS1.3, then I buy it.
I would like to know more about this powedrsupply issue ? Does it need a PSU to work on an A500 1.3 ?

Hello, it is test on an old kick 1.3 A500, you can see it on the screenshoot.
It can be, you need a external PSU, if the PSU of your A500 not more soo strong and less stable.
I'll test it with a ordinary 2,5A PSU for you.
With 3,0A PSU i've test it without any problems.

HDD and memory are included, no external PSU (you don't need it).

Ok, I've test it with a 2.5A PSU and it will not work.
You need a 3.0A or better for your A500 and it will work, otherwise you need a external PSU, but it's not so nice.

Ok, if I understand well, you say that I don't need an external PSU for the Oktagon if my Amiga 500 psu is 3A (A600 or 1200 psu in fact). So I just plug the Oktagon on the left side of the AMiga500 and no more.
If it is right, I will tell you if I buy it this evening (I'm not at my home at this moment) when I'll back at home to check my A500 psu.

have look and see if you have a amiga 500 supply.
the ones i have are 4.3-4.5 amps on the 5 volt line.

You only need a PSU with >=3A on 5V on your A500.
You need no PSU on this device and I don't know, what it should be for an PSU.

If you have a >=3A on 5V PSU on your A500, all will be ok!
