I have several original xboxes that I bought for spares/repairs a long time ago. I no longer have the time/space for them so am offering them up here if anybody's interested. I've given each a quick test and will describe each as best as possible. Console only, no leads or accessories included.
1) Softmodded by previous owner. Good clean condition with minor marks. Some writing underneath the console in red marker. £8
2) TSOP flash to X2 5035. Good condition with a few marks, particularly on the lid. Has an issue that it powers on when the power lead is inserted, and the power button doesn't always turn the console off (have to pull the power lead out). Could be broken traces on the motherboard. But functions fine otherwise. Sold elsewhere
3) Softmodded with 120GB Maxtor drive. Has a noisy fan which is apparently a common issue on the 1.0 revision. The noise comes and goes. The HDD seems a bit slow at times when running things from it (e.g. emulators), so not sure of it's health. Sold elsewhere
4) Normal retail dash (I can softmod if required). As with no. 2, it powers on when the power lead is inserted. Power lead has to be removed to power off. Takes a while to read discs, and sometimes needs them ejected and put back in before it loads (so the laser could be going). Case is slightly worn. Sold elsewhere
5) Normal retail dash (I can softmod if required). Case lid has a large crack going across the top, and some cracks on the front/back of the case. Sold elsewhere
6) Western Digital 250GB IDE hard drive. Will go great with any of the above consoles, has been fully tested and is error free. £12.
Please note that whilst each has been tested for reading discs, this is no guarantee on how long the laser will last (particularly with no. 4). Also some screws may be missing inside/outside but it won't fall apart in your hands.
