hello,

does any one have any 4 pin (leg) DIL oscillators in the 60 mhz - 65/66/67 range...

im wanting to experiment with over clocking my 68030 50mhz accelerator. ive read that 60 mhz is achievable..

ive already added cooling / fan to the accelerator as it was pretty hot at 50mhz - but its cold under use now.

thank you

I think you can't pass 56MHz on any 030 CPU, no matter what.

Try with 52, then 56MHz crystals. If you succeed, then I think you may try 60MHz, but nothing over, that's for sure.

Also remember you need a MC 030 part to try overclocking.

if 56 mhz is the limit then i may not bother , it doesnt seem worth the effort really.

thanks for the info.

I did 56MHz on my old MBX1230XA and it worked nice, but cannot made it work @60MHz, even with a MC68030RC50 with heatsink and fan. But very nice 12% boost in performance, anyway.
