Closed PC 384/486/Pentium Motherboard

Hi

I am on the lookout for an old pc motherboard that has a 386/486/or pentium cpu installed and with no more than 64mb memory installed. note i am not looking for the full system. thanks for your time.

I have a full working 386er (AMD 80386 with 40 MHz) board with 8x 1 mb SIMMs on it. Do you need a graphics card and a hard disk controller, too?

Hi thanks for the reply. I have myself a sound and graphics card as well as a pc formatted hard drive. I just need a system to fit these. How many 16 bit isa slots are on your motherboard? Regards

Hi m8,

it has 8 16 bit ISA slots and one 8 bit ISA slot. It comes with an controller (IDE, 2x serial, 1x parallel) and a trident graphics card, a 1,44 mb floppy and a harddisk (I think 250 mb).
The type of the board is ABIT 386DX-FA3 and I think you can fit it with a Cyrix 486DLC CPU.
What is the capacity of your harddisk? You know the limit of 504 mb in old pc boards?

hi

i only need the motherboard itself i dont really need the rest as i would like to save on postage. i have a hard drive thats already formatted to 500-odd mb and has dos 6 and win 3.1 installed. but your motherboard looks good! i will double check the specs when i get back later!
