I’m selling what I would consider a “holy grail” period-correct build for the 1996–1997 era, configured to run Windows 95.

The case is unremarkable but in good condition. The power supply is a new Chieftec ATX unit paired with an AT-to-ATX adapter. While the PSU is an entry-level model It was chosen deliberately to keep the original grey appearance and reduce unnecessary cabling. The PSU is mounted upside-down because the screw holes simply do not align for the correct orientation in an AT case.
  • Motherboard: ASUS P/I-P55T2P4 Rev. 3.1 with the maximum 512 KB of cache installed. The Dallas RTC chip has been replaced with a Necroware module, allowing the CMOS battery to be replaced easily.
  • CPU: Pentium I MMX 233 Mhz
  • Memory: 64 MB EDO RAM (60 ns). Adding more memory can cause issues under Windows 95 and offers no real performance benefit.
  • Storage: 10 GB Seagate HDD (slightly outside the original period, but practical).
  • Graphics: Matrox Millennium II 4 MB (2D) and Diamond Monster Voodoo Graphics 4 MB (3D).
  • Sound: Creative AWE64 Gold with SIMMConn adapter and the maximum 28 MB RAM installed.
  • Optical/Floppy: TEAC 24X CD-ROM drive and floppy drive is NEC (I think)
  • Connectivity: All headers are populated — COM1, COM2, parallel port, PS/2, and USB.
Even though this motherboard is considered one of the best Socket 7 overclockers, besides setting the tightest memory timings, I haven't attempted overclocking.
