Filled Philips CM8833-II repair?

Hi Amibayer's,

My beloved CM8833-II has recently lost image & now has the dreaded high pitched noice, is there anyone able to offer repair?

Funnily enough, I actually listed my monitor on eBay yesterday as faulty, literally 4 minutes after listing I received an offer that I would have accepted if was collection (I listed it collection only) but someone else contacted me mentioning Roy, for some reason I thought he'd stopped offering repairs...

We seriously need to get Roy his own courier. So many CRT's conking out of late..

agreed, I have a cpc 464 colour monitor thats kinda "DULL" take a while to brighten up.. its in its original box but still scared to post it

sorry, i missed this.it is a bit nerve racking and a bit of a gamble shipping crt's,but not impossible,i sent a couple of those to scotland with 3 inches of padding all round them and double boxed
plus no insurance is going to cover it,and even if there was the money wont help if its written off

monitor has been dropped off today

parts are on order,so far its a lopt and mains switch(from brief inspection),this may take some time,i estimate 2 to 3 weeks for this turn up

this is just for transparency within the forum,to show this is going ahead

this is now repaired,its passed a soak test,everything works
it had a slight tilt issue,a non event really

i shall go let the op know now,he has a working cm8833 mk2
