My Philips CM8833 is missing the actual plastic button which operates the power switch. The switch failed and apparently who ever "fixed" it, lost the plastic part and jump wired the switch so it's always on. I managed to find a replacement switch but it's difficult to operate without the plastic part. In case someone has a dead CM8833 and is willing to sell the plastic button, I will buy it.

EDIT: Found one!
