Apologies for asking a question that may be slightly off topic.

Reading this post, I realize that each game exists in different versions? I had no idea.

I'm currently writing a lot of stories from my childhood that I remember about the G7000 games. It'll end up as a kind of diskmag for blu-ray players, freely downloadable for all when it's done.

Anyway, as I'm writing the stories I also play the games again, and here's the point of my interruption. I remember playing Basketball as a kid, and learning that one of the players could steal the ball from the other player simply by holding down the button while passing him.
But trying this trick with the G7000 and Videopac 6 I acquired later in life didn't work. So I've been thinking maybe I made this up in my mind.

Can anyone confirm or reject that one of the Videopac 6 Basketball cartridges has this bug/"feature" in one of the versions? If yes, which version is it then? I'd guess it might be 6A then?

Hi Mr Lou,

The A,B,C suffix are ones i added myself, just to differentiate between identical games that i have more than one of.

That said, there are different releases. Radiola and Siera released separate cartridges, and even Philips had different product lines (France and Europe, for instance), but i'm not certain if there are any differences between those. I found this text file particularly detailed, it lists software and hardware, with quite some detail: http://www.digitpress.com/faq/videopaclist.htm

Did not know about that Basketball trick, i'll be trying it for sure
