Here i'm looking to offload this monitor for £25 plus postage. I would prefer collection but I think I have a box that might be big enough for a courier (I estimate £12 roughly for the UK). Unless you are ready to pay £30-40 for European postage please do not even ask me to get a quote.

I spent this afternoon playing Crash Team Racing for the Playstation on it and it was great. Sound is clear from both speakers and the picture was perfect. However.... a problem has developed.

I turned it off when I'd finished playing and went for some food, when I came back the on/off button now will not stay in. If you hold the button in it's fine as before so the power button will need looking at as the monitor will not stay on as it is unless you hold the button in. For this reason I have lowered what I was going to ask for it.

Instead of taking pictures (if wanted ask and I will take some) I made a little video showing it working.

Sorry I misread your user info before
Any idea how much would it cost to repair it?

Cheers,
Antonio

sounds like the latch isent latching on the power mains switch,it could be fixed maybe without getting a new one.

might just need some switch cleaner spraying on it.

The latch is the definitely the problem if you ask me, i've no idea about fixing it up or the cost. I would guess someone on the board will be able to sort it out in 5 minutes which is why I offered it for sale.

Don't think it could be a great issue, the board is held in place by the front and the back parts of the casing, so tightening the screws could do the trick.

The early 1084S btw, is identical to the 8833 with exception of the casing of course.
