my Picasso IV is not working anymore after she work for years ! Any hints and Ideas what can it be?
Xilinx Chip ist getting very hot, but i am not shure if it is normal !

@RetroPanic are you able to connect the Amiga by other means to a monitor i.e RGB to see if the card is showing in the Amiga boot menu under expansion.

I presume no picture at all or is the scandoubler/flickerfixer working?

Just for information @8 Bit Dreams use to sell the removal IC's for this card which included the Mach IC so this could be a fix if these have failed and if he still has any spares

Update: here is a link to that thread

It’s possible the Socketed chips have come loose out there sockets. Try reseating these. Also could be a couple of Caps on the board that may need replacing due to age.
I know one of my PIV boards has started to show distorted lined images and have had to reseat the chips. Think the plastic sockets are becoming brittled, with Age and heat.

Also reach out to @hese if you think you need repair. Recommended 👍🏻

I can thoroughly recommend Hese too, he recapped my PIV and got rid of random issues I was having.
