What customizations have you done with your machine?

Now JuvUK and Kin, this is for the details ;-)

Rather you didn't. Perhaps a fresh set of pics to avoid possible pub..., er...confusion!

Re: Pimp my ride - tell your tale

Currently I'm putting an A500 into a tower with one, but two Zorro boards inside:

- home-made IDE controller (Coze, we need to talk!). Not related with PGA units!

- Zorro II RAM expansion for usability;

- External A2000 keyboard, as always.

I'm about to hack an A4000D mainboard + Micronik busboard in an empty A4000T case. Which poll option is that? :D

Bugger, I picked the 2nd option instead

It will be pretty much a custom tower anyway since I need to do a lot of screwing, hacksawing, welding, bending, dremeling, sanding and machinegunning to make the mainboard and busboard fit correctly

Re: Pimp my ride - tell your tale

I was sure I had heard a legend of a water cooled amiga?

Also, the sawed-in-two a1200 is well known and documented. It's a true magician who can saw a girl in two, and still have her working afterwards.

I noticed that one too. Only one I know of is the A1200 in A600 heroics that have been retold in this photo booth.

Re: Pimp my ride - tell your tale

The Amiga I use the most these days is a pretty standard A1200 modification.

Standard A1200 case
Blizzard 1230 MKIV 50MHz with FPU and 32MB ram
Buffered IDE interface
Internet slimline laptop DVD/CD-RW drive
40GB 2.5" IDE HDD
ClassicWB and WHDLoad.

Only future update I might add is an internet scan doubler/flicker fixer (when I have the money spare).

I keep meaning to take some pictures when I get chance.

My other Amigas are all pretty standard setups. I've never really modified them much.

A4000 is in standard case with standard 040 CPU board, 18MB ram, 60GB HDD and CD-RW, SCSI card.

A600 has 2MB chip, 2MB fast, 6GB HDD. But I want to add the 8MB Fast ram expansion when I can get hold of one, and a buffered IDE interface and CD drive. Maybe replace the HDD with a CF card accessible from the rear of the case of swapping over for data transfer between PC and Amiga and possibly to have different Workbench setups on different cards.
