At the moment I have a CF card in my 1200. Can I boot from this device even after I installed the Pistorm? If not. Is there a way to move these files to the PiStorm32? I think it will run with hdf files or am I wrong?
And if it is needed to have hdf files how can I convert the CF carddata easy to a hdf file?

Next question is about video output.
Do I need a RGB Monitor with the PiStorm or can it run alle resolutions via the minihdmi ports on my Pi4?

So you SHOULD be able to. I have not been able to make it work, but it also had an '030 board on it - so not sure if it's loading some hardware specific thing. But it should just boot fine as long as the ROM matches.

See, I only booted from my previous CF card and used caffieneOS for my PiStorm device. I'm going to figure out a way to be able to boot from either one.

You don't need an RGB monitor. That is just for RTG modes - those are "new" screen resolutions (such as HD resolutions) that the AGA chipset cannot handle. The piStorm acts as one of those graphics cards and has a dedicated output due to that.

CaffieneOS uses RTG by default. It's cool to have, but "classic" amiga graphics modes that go full screen need to use the RGB output (or, if you have an indivision mk3, you can have those output to HDMI or VGA as well).

So if you don't care about the snazzy 16MM color HDMI desktop, and want to use the old skool 1084x768 resolutions, run with those! That's what I'm doing now, but just bought a second monitor so I can use RTG as well :)

OK thanks for your hints and help. I will try it as soon as the Pistorm arrives here.

Have a nice Thursday
:)

Well now I have the PiStorm for my A1200 and partioned the SD Card in three partitions like so

1st Partition - 200 MB - PIStorm32 Lite data (normal Windows partition)

2nd Partition - 1000 MB - System partition (created on the same SDCard via diskpart with id=76 flag)

3rd Partition - 112 GB - Data Partition (created on the same SDCard via diskpart with id=76 flag)

on the IDE Port is the main bootup SDCard which I want to clone over to PiStorm

When I put the SDCard in my PI4 All I get is red lights (one on the PI4 and one on the PiStrom) and a short flashing green one. But the Amiga seems not to boot. Resetting and the Caps Lock Lights are working. Before I forget it. I put the Kick Rom 3.2.2.1 (47.111) on the SDCard as "kick.rom"

So now it works, I used another SDCard.
But I cannot find any partitions with HDToolox set to "brcm-sdhc.device" has that changed?

Whats strange is in the preboot menu (the one where you press the two mouse buttons) in Boot Options. there is only the Diskdrives and the SD Card from the scsi interface. Devices for the brcm-sdhc.device are not shown.
