I would have liked to meet other members, but am at another convention the weekend of Glasgow.

However, had the part idea, could the Amiga community or any user groups, not take a table at one of the future Play events or even one of the organisers other events, share knowledge, show off the Amiga as it is now.

I know there's a future Play expo event in Manchester the weekend of 8th / 9th October, maybe something could be arranged for then?

It'd be something I would support, and donate towards.

I have just booked my tickets for Glasgow
oddly enough my wife is quite happy for me to go (trying to get me as far away as possible???)

Anyway, am driving up Friday, and doing the 11th, it'd be great to meet/say hi to my fellow amibay members on the day. I've no idea what you all look like so make yourself known on the day!!! :-)

also if anyone can recommend anything I should/could do Friday evening in Glasgow am open to suggestions (keep it clean :-) )

I'm there on Saturday aftrenoon with my daughter. PM me if anyone is attending and wants to sat hello :)

I was only there for a couple of hours, and I've got to say it was pretty pathetic, seeing what they do at play expo Manchester and play expo Glasgow they are worlds apart. And considering they charge the same as each other. To sum the Glasgow event up, 8 trader stalls, 4 tables of retro, 1 indi (some lad brought his oculus rift and masking tape) and a few arcade cabinets. On the plus side I did have good day out in Glasgow the day before

Totally agree, it was fairly basic and not what I had expected after seeing photos/videos of the last Manchester event. Thankfully I had only booked a one day ticket, total time spent was under two hours... although did manage to pickup a nice boxed spice orange GameCube, so can't complain too much :)

Lol I'd seen the GameCube there myself :-)

id only spent two hours there however I'd taken two days out to get to Glasgow and visit, nice city though. Ah well at least there is play expo Manchester coming up
