Has anyone got any information regarding this:

Power Computing Double/Twin external disk drive.

I recently got this from fleabay and I am curious about some things. Every power computing external drive I have,
has a enable/disable switch at least and the more advanced drives have some form of xcopy/blitz hardware built in.

The double drive I have here does not have a switch but the hole/cutout exists for it.
The casing has never been opened up and the original warranty sticker is in place.

I trawled around google, bboah and amiga hardware database and found nothing about this hardware!

Has anyone on the forum got one of these drive units and have pictures of it?

Tia.

Presume the switch hole was for their usual anti-virus hardware enable/disable function. Maybe they changed or redesigned the circuit board and/or case before releasing. The manual does mention Blitz!, making references to both a switch and software on floppy disk but there is little else.

BBoAH has pictures of the exact drive with the hole on the rear of the case clearly on display. Also if you look closely, there seems to be no accompanying connector on the circuit board for any switch to be plugged in.

I can just about see through some holes in the casing and I am struggling to see the pcb.
There is only one switch hole, the blitz version appears to have two. I think unit in the link has the switches present, they are tiny!
But mine does not so I assume its an older version or maybe just a basic unit.

The only real way to find out is to open it up and that is what I will do tomorrow.

Unless it's vital to know, I would leave the unit sealed for history's sake
