For sale is a "Power Tower" for Amiga 1200. This was bought from Power Computing in 1998. It appears to be a rebranded version of Elbox's E/BOX 1200. BBoAH information
This allows you to take an A1200 mainboard and internal drive, and convert it into a "tower" system with a powerful (by desktop Amiga standards) PSU and plenty of space for drives, CD-ROM, etc.
Externally it is good condition. Very slight yellowing of the front plastic fascia and a couple of marks on the metal sides.
Internally there is some signs of rusting.
It is fitted with an AT keyboard socket, attached to an adapter that plugs into the A1200 mainboard keyboard interface. A further adapter board connects the mainboard LED connector to the case's LEDs.
Also included is an adapter to rotate the PCMCIA slot through 90 degrees, so that PCMCIA cards can be used inside the tower; an adapter which turns the A1200 44-pin IDE connector into a 40-pin connector for full-size HDs, CD-ROMs, etc.; and a tool for inserting/removing the hex bolts from an A1200 mainboard.
The manual is missing, although apparently the BBoAH link above has the German version of the manual.
Please note that I have not had an A1200 inside this case for several years, so I cannot guarantee that all the parts are working, other than I have powered up the PSU and verified that the cooling fan runs. Please consider this untested.
Selling price is 100 GBP, either collect in person (central Scotland), or posted (contact me for a quote for postage to your location). Note however this item is big and heavy, so postage won't be cheap, and if you are outside the UK there may also be custom charges in your country.
