If any of you have a PS5 or a gaming PC that uses M2 storage you might be interested in this.

On Amazon, today only, they have some big discounts on M2 SSD Gen4 storage. Including Sony PS5 certified M2 drives with heatsink.

I've ordered a Samsung 980 Pro M2 2TB with Heatsink for £163. That's 35% off the £253 RRP.

They have a lot of makes in all sizes including 1TB, 2TB and 4TB. The 4TB are still a bit expensive yet. Even with a fixing they were close to £500.

They also have a "WD_BLACK SN850X 2TB M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4 NVMe Gaming SSD with Heatsink up to 7300 MB/s read speed" for £179, reduced from £327, so 45% discount, which I nearly got before spotting the Samsung (which is the I was originally going to buy anyway before this sale).

M2 Hard drive going get faster in coming year for sure!

I doubt they will get much faster than the current PS5 certified Gen 4 drives as those are already 7300 MB/s. That's shifting over 7GB/s. That's quite a mind blowing speed when you think about it.

I'd buy WD over Samsung even for a small premium. Reason being the RMA process with WD is much more user friendly. My Samsung 980Pro 2TB NVMe went bad last year and it's still in a process to start the RMA - maybe my own fault, but with WD I never needed to provide like 5 proofs before even start the process.

NVMe will of course get faster with new generation interface and drives.

I am into U.2 and next is U.3. In case of pcie 4x M.2 SSD (SSM) I think you must be careful because especially with "top notch" m.2 ssd because clearly problems occured because of faulty firmware.

The best for me is still the WD AN1500.
