the images are small and jpeg format, but says invalid....

any ideas, or can this be fixd

thanks

I usually upload to postimage and use the forum link generated

Thanks, but its so easy just to add pictures directly, just that images from my iPad are not accepted, even though they are jpeg....if I email the images to myself and then upload them, unchanged from my computer, there is no problem, just hoped it could be sorted with the website..

Is/was it an issue with iCloud photos as mine almost always fail if they're in the cloud...

they are not in a cloud they are on my iPad, be good if it could be fixed...

thanks

I think the problem is that the iPad sends a false image file name to the web browser when uploading via forms.

i get exactly the same issue.

Sadly I can't help with this problem as I don't own or have anything to do with Apple products. I will ask AndyLandy if he has any ideas on what is causing this, but if as has been mentioned iOS sends a false file name during the transfer then this could cause a failure to upload.

Have you looked into/tried any third party browsers on your iPad? I'm wondering if the issue might just be with Apple's own browser software and a third party browser might not cause the same issue.

What are you trying to do? Upload pictures from your iPad photos app to AmiBay?

Confirmed. It's a problem with iOS. Or at least, a problem with the way iOS and vBulletin interact.

image.jpgHi

I can upload to various other forums, eBay, Friday ad, gumtree etc etc, to emails....
just tried a practice one and it workd ok, can't think why...maybe screenshots and photos are different....

As a screenshot works this might explain something. The site is setup to only accept images up to a certain file size and pixel dimensions. A screenshot will be fairly small as it will only be the size of the screen resolution, amd as such fairly small. An unedited image will be quite large and rejected by the server. You would need to edit amd reduce the dimensions and physical file size to upload them.

I'm only guessing though, but worth trying.

I will however also have a dig around on the vbulletin forums in case it is a specific ipad issue that has been solved.

good idea, but when I email the pictures to myself, I am able to upload them from my PC perfectly, same size etc...
