Proven once again, I'm an idiot

Well, I've gone and done it again. I've screwed up in a pretty silly way. I recently sold an A1200 for Ed to QuillOmega0 here on Amibay and packed it up and shipped it out to him. Ed asks me today what power supply was supposed to go with that and I told him the modified one, with the fan. He says to me, 'We shipped the wrong one then, because that's sitting here next to my workbench.' oh:oh: I planned on contacting QuillOmega0 but he contacted me first. I feel such the fool. The only thing I can do is ship him the right one and pay for the shipping of the wrong one back to Ed. I can't wait for my final on Wednesday, then maybe I can concentrate on something other than school. I really shouldn't even be posting this right now but if I keep reading my textbook my eyes are going to melt out of my head!

now here is something i totally agree with, just because a mistake has been made there is no reason to fly off the handle, usually a little communication gets them sorted

I'm not mad or anything, I just feel like a complete and total knob, because I should have been able to tell the difference between the power supplies. I had everything set aside and didn't stop to think that Ed would need to grab a PSU to test an A1200 that got shipped to him. So when QuillOmega0 bought the machine without thinking, I grabbed the power supply with the machine, assuming (like I do, making an ass out of myself..) that it was the correct power supply sitting next to the A1200. It wasn't. I'm glad he caught it so soon after selling the machine to him, otherwise it could have been a disaster like if I had forgotten about selling him the machine and such.

we all make mistakes - god knows i make plenty and as i get older i make more and do them more often. the key here is to accept it and make amends, admit your wrong and move on...

in computer terms
At 17 i had 64k ram , at 39 now and i think im down to 16k ....looking forward to being a ZX81 very shortly lol

I've made lots of mistakes since my comeback in Amiga world.

- Blown up a ram/ide board from Tom Thul and twice the HDD, those were caused by different color wires, lesson learned to check the voltage!
- Screwed to far in 2 A1200 covers
- Blown my Oktagon 2008, external power trough a zorro adapter and power directly on the HDD from an ATX psu, stupid, should have connected power from the Oktagon itself
- Soldered a 10K network resistor in the wrong position on an A2000 (didn't start the machine, caught it before)
- Inserted a kickstart 1.2 the wrong way in an A2000
- Various stupid software configs, you almost bang your head to the wall for simple mistakes oh:
- Paid far to much for some Amiga hardware

I could go on and on, but yeah it's not a perfect world, if it would be a perfect universe, we wouldn't have existed anyway.
