Hi guys (and girls ?),

- I just bought an Apollo 1260 and the manual says it can go up to 64Mo of memory.
- There are 2 memory slots on the card.

Questions :
- Does this mean that 64Mo can only be reached by inserting two RAM modules of 32Mo each ?
- Does this mean that a single RAM module of 64Mo can be used in any of the slots ?
- - In this second case all other module in the other slot would just not be recognized ?

Thanks for your enlightements :)

Yes you need to use 2x 32mb sticks on a standard Apollo card.
It can be modified to allow a single 64mb simm, there's a post on these boards about it. I'm on tapatalk so can't link you, sorry.

There is no stupid question. It's always better to ask if you don't know something, than thinking that you know it.

Also, don't forget that Amiga Hardware Database can be of great help from time to time.
I think in your case, this link answers your question...

But, of course, it is always a good idea to trust Amibay community and get a second opinion here...!!!
