Howdy - our A500 is up and running again but I want to try a few apps that I found online here:

http://amigarealm.whdownload.com/amiga/amitools/tools4.htm

They are all LHA format, which I can open easily on the PC. But how do I make use of them on the Amiga?

I currently have a working link with Amiga Explorer to transfer between PC and Amiga. Do I just drop the contents of the LHA onto a diskette?

Thanks

howdy back partner,

do you only have a floppy drive? you may need a LHA decruncher on a floppy.
how are you getting info from your pc to your amiga?
maybe unpack them on the pc then transfer the files from the pc to the floppy?

lha e appname.lha

If you do not have lha in C download

http://aminet.net/package/util/arc/lha

Run it in ram, copy the right lib according to your cpu to C and rename it there to lha

Have fun, and explain a little more juvukuk has a point there to ask...

I'm using the null modem serial link with Amiga Explorer to transfer.

I have it sorted out now. I successfully transferred the files from the LHA I wanted to use, I just didn't realize that the app was command line only. I was looking for some fancy icons or something. But I got it to run through the CLI window now

Thanks...
