Hi,

I am listing an incomplete ReAmiga 1200 system that I was building, but I don't have the time to complete, as my A4000D is taking up all my time. The ReAmiga board is complete and functional.

The full build includes an Indivision AGA Mk3, ACA1231 68030 accelerator + RAM expansion, a real A1200 keyboard with new keycaps from A1200.NET, and a brand new transparent case, also from A1200.NET.

Just missing an LED board, floppy/Gotek drive and PSU to complete the system.

Price £950 inc. postage within UK/EU.

Item arrived in poor condition.
1. screws are missing
2. very dusty
3. metal I/O shield bend
4. VGA port without metal bracket, it was concealed in the pictures by the seller
5. The keyboard connector has some crack on one side
6. The motherboard WAS NOT attached in any way to the case. It became loose during transport
7. Indivision was left inside and it was flying loosely around in the Amiga damaging Amiga!
8. Capacitor is broken, most probably by indivision during transport
Sending PM to seller and waiting for his response on resolving the problem.

Please keep the mods in the loop regarding these issues.

So the Amiga was repaired but the seller never refunded the repair costs as agreed.
He does not reply to PM's either. So negative feedback left.
To sum it up:
He (deliberately?) conceals vital information form the photos making it from the angle that you can't see it. He sends the Amiga completely unsecured without even a trace of bubble wrap or anything that could secure it during transport. Items that are loosly attached and should be dismantle and properly secured he leaves in place (indivisionMK3). During transport it damages motherboard. This is clearly due to neglect in packing.
Also the Amiga was lacking of some screws and it was overall very dusty.
No reply from the seller completes the picture of this transaction.
Negative feedback fully deserved in my opinion.

Dear Picard,

I’d like to take this opportunity to clarify a few points raised in your feedback and ensure that all relevant facts are on record. I regret that this transaction has led to dissatisfaction, but I want to emphasize that there was no intention to deceive or neglect.
  1. VGA Port Concerns: Regarding the accusation that I “deliberately” concealed the plastic VGA port without shielding, I can assure you that was never my intention. The board was purchased as-is, and since the port was functional, and I was using the Indivision for display, the absence of shielding didn't even register as a significant issue. I clarified this to you multiple times in our PM chain, and was unaware of what you were referring to at first. An act of "deliberately concealing" something implies that the person doing so is aware that there is an issue that needed hiding - I was not aware of any issue with the board having a plastic VGA port without a shield - as i have stated, it was purchased like that.
  2. Indivision Installation: The Indivision was left attached to the Alice chip to avoid potential damage. As many users know, detaching it can sometimes require excessive force, which I feared could harm the chip after I attempted to remove it. While I acknowledge that removing it might have been preferable, I had no reason to believe shipping it attached would cause issues, as it had never been a problem in the past.
  3. Missing Screws: All screws that came with the A1200.net case were used in assembly. If additional screws were expected, I did not have them. This was not a deliberate oversight but simply a matter of supply.
  4. Dust: The motherboard was in the case for around eight months while I was sourcing a keyboard. As is natural, dust accumulated over time. In hindsight, I should have cleaned it more thoroughly before shipping, and I apologize for that.
  5. Payment for Repairs: I acknowledge there was a delay in payment, and I apologize for that. Initially, I was initially checking frequently for your quote, but I am working 200 miles away from home Monday-Friday, and being away from home, work took over and it slipped my mind as it took 20 days for you to get the quote to me. I did respond on the 4th September, after seeing an email from Amibay regarding your feedback, and paid on the 6th as I promised. I also asked you to confirm receipt of payment, but I have not yet received a response.
  6. Update to the Thread: I would have appreciated it if you had updated the thread with the fact that payment was actually received after your last feedback in order to set the record straight. I have allowed 10 days for this, and since no update was posted, I feel it’s important to clarify this myself. Payment was made, and I hope this will be acknowledged.
Again, I regret that this transaction has led to negative feelings, and I respect your right to leave feedback. However, I wanted to ensure that the full context of the situation is clear to everyone reading this thread.

Best regards,

Colin
