Hi everyone,
I recently bought an A600 to fix up and run my A500 1.3 backups on. I've had issues, I've recapped, I've fixed stuff, I've broken stuff, and I've been able to play my two favourite games (Bloody Money and Paradroid 90) thanks to ReloKick, an External GoTek and Bryce's guide to createing an ABBA switch for df0/df1 toggling. To be honest, I created this account mainly to post a thanks.

- PSU Power Supply
- Arrived DOA. Rather than fix it, I replaced the innards with a Mean Well RT-65B and hot-glued it into place. Hot glue is my favourite tool

- GBS-8200 with the GBS-Control upgrade.
- I tried adding a clock generator but I think I had a dodgy one so left the wires connected will buy another and try again.
- I'm working on an enclosure. I'll be a coupld of perspex sheets cut to size. I don't know the names of the risers I need, so haven't bought all the bits yet.
- My makeshift VGA-to-Monitor out cable (made from a butchered A520 and a clotheshanger) has a dodgy Red-wire so I'll fix that up or just buy the part from eBay for £7!!
- Internal/External DF0 DF1 Floppy Switching.
- Nearly working 100%. I can have the gotek as df0 and the internal as disabled (should be df1), or the gotek as df1 and the internal as df0. I likely knocked a wire when trying to install the switch, which is why the internal isn't functioning as df1.
- On the bright side, I don't have a need for the internal floppy, I just like to know I've done a good job and can use the internal floppy as DF1 *if* I ever want to.
- External GoTek Dial Selector.
- As supplied, a clock-wise dial turn goes backwards through my list.
- I don't really care to send it back, so might open it up and see if I can just reverse a couple wires. Or maybe I'll just accept it and play games instead.
- Internal Compact Flash as HDD
- I don't need one but £10 for 4GB or 8GB + adapter + cable, I should probably buy one anyway!!
- I don't plan on using WHDLoad...
- RTC + RAM + piStorm???
- This was important when my A500 1.3 was my daily-driver. I can't think why I need any of these upgrades now though but maybe I will one day...
