yo all,
now this is good news, the charming Davideo sent me a Teac FD-235F 4161,
so plug it in and no go, did a bit of reading and all the miggy sites say the FD-253F is a simple jumper setup to work with the miggy, it shows the settings as having 3 rows of pins and then pin A to E going up, the FD-235F that i have here only has four pins, well after a LOT of searching i discovered there are LOADS of different types of FD-235F drives, some with no jumpers, different densities etc, then i found this http://www.rabayjr.com/Download/Teac%20FD235HF.pdf
Please can we get this available to the community as it could help many miggy users in the world, basically any FD-235F floppy drive with jumpers can be used as a replacement internal or external Amiga floppy drive without any mods just jumper placement.
once i changed the jumpers on this FD-235F 4161 the drive now works flawlessly!! and you can still buy this drive new for £3.00 each plus shipping:-D
thanks again Dave
cheers, JuvUK
