I've been looking at some replacement phono sockets for my Amigas as part of restoring them. There are of course 2 for audio and one for the composite out. All of the replacements I have found both on the other bay and electronics dealers all seem to have a different shape on the bottom of the connector and dont appear to fit.

Does anyone know where i can source some new/NOS replacements that I can use on my Amigas (500/500+/1200) as a direct replacement ?

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply; I looked at these as well but i dont think they will fit. If you look at the plastic pins underneath these, there are 3 down either side of the plastic fitting; on my miggys there are only 3 holes in a diamond formation on the board.

Have you actually used these ?

no mate just a quick search

posted these for info a dead 600

That's just a soft plastic keyway, just snip them off if the holes are not present on the board.

Bryce.

Just found these, they look much more like the originals although the different colours are not available; that shouldnt really matter since the sockets are labelled on the casing anyway :

The last 2 at the end of the row.

Hope im not breaking any rules by posting that link, they are set prices from a UK online retailer and not over-inflated in price.

:)

Edit : Thanks btw, for the links and all :)

@WonkeyDonkey
These do look like the originals but they're A500 specific (they can also be used on the A1000 I think), the other Amigas use the other type.
BTW - the A500 can use the other type just fine too as there's another set of three matching solder-holes.

Oh! Well I hope the ones I linked work too, as Ive ordered now. If not, I'll go for the ones from Rapid.

Why did commodore have to mix and match so much stuff ? I have 500/500+ and some 1200's to do here so will prob have to send for even more now.

And thanks again for the replies chaps, I'll post back on what works and what doesnt :)
