In my quest for a vhs player that could take my old tapes recorded with LP I came across this nice LG dual vhs/dvd player. It could take anything you could trow at it, record to dvd and all that. had hdmi, scart and component out. So should fit the bill.
However my capture device take composite or svideo, and the scart was quite surprisingly RGB only.
So either I need a capture device that does RGB and/or Component, or a RGB/Component to svideo-converter. Any idea what to choose?
Ironically i probably get a different vhs player for less than a converter or new capture device. But lets entertain the idea first.

I do have an amiga RGB to SVideo adapter somewhere. So I COULD make a scart out-to-male db23 cable and use that one. a lot of hassle though.

EDIT: Now I have ordered the parts to probably make the first ever scart to DB23-cable. The bonus is that if it works I can use the cable to output scart-stuff onto my nice amiga-microvitech monitor. (not that i know if the rgb to svideo would accept 576i/p resolution and not only standard amiga ones. but i guess it just joins some signals and should be fine with any resolution)
