If ever wanted to add an RTC battery to a miggy, should I get a barrel Ni-MH (which doesn't leak apparrently) or a coin battery adapter?

It's a Cell battery m8. No leakage what-so-ever. If ever the battery dies, replace it. This depends on the correct Cell battery circuitry being installed in the first instance for the specific Miggy. Some earlier models do not permit a straight swap, as you would end up boiling the Cr battery. ;)

Re: RTC battery replacement

That is the only problem with the type of battery I've fitted. It's soldered in so needs desoldering when it eventually dies - that's if I don't die first :woot:

The other way with the holder, diode and cell battery may be better. Because at least you can change the battery when it goes flat :thumbsup2:
