Does anybody know if Ruff 'n' Tumble was originally made and compatible with the A500, or is it an 600, 1200 game. I've found second samurai and ruff n tumble in an auction on eBay copies of course, with screenshots, for <snip> with an original a500 boxed game plus ten blank floppy disks, thought I might buy it, considering there all tested, just wondered if ruff was compatible, I know Samurai is? Unless there is an original on here I know ruff n tumble is a rare find and I'm desperate to play it, last one went for <snip> ! As long as the write protection is on is it safe to play games from other machines, I'm just concerned of a virus transferred over, which would compromise my machine...Just wondered? Is it safe? Although I'm aware getting the original would be a safe option, but I'm sick of waiting!

Please refrain from mentioning prices and values. Price discussions on AmiBay are not allowed.

Have a look here for compatibility hints http://hol.abime.net/

If the disk was always write protected, viruses would not be able to write themselves to the disk. Original games will usually be unable to boot if they get a virus since most games use custom boot loaders which would get overwritten. So if it boots, then it is likely to be virus-free, except for those originals that always had viruses in them originating from the company who made the game. :)
If you keep all your disks write protected, then viruses is not really an issue.
