Hi All,
Finally got around to joining, so I'd thought I would say hi and introduce myself.
I got my first computer when I was 10, an Atari 400! I had asked for a Vic-20.
My family left the price tag on by mistake, it was part of a clearance sale. LOL. I then got the 800XL and a 1050, kept it for about a year, traded it all for a Commodore 64 (as all my friends and school had it), and basically used it till about 1990 when I needed a PC.
Since then, my original 64 died, but acquired a 128. This would be around 1993. I've been collecting ever since.
So far, not including doubles, I have the following (not in any order)...
Atari 800XL, 1040STFM; Commodore 64, 128, 128D, SX-64; TI-99/4a; Apple IIGS; Amiga 2000. Some of the cool peripherals I have include: Commodore 1571, 81, SFD-1 and 8050 drives, the TI PEB with 2 drives, the SH-204 and FA-ST hard drives for the ST, and the Amiga 2000 has the 030 accelerator, ram and scsi cards in it. Most are set-up in a basement computer lab which my kids and I have been spending some time in.
Just for fun, I'd thought I'd show the oldest what loading from a cassette was like (on the TI). He wasn't impressed at all.
Other than that, I've modded the TI to have all blue LEDS, everything else is pretty much stock.
Well...enough of me, time to look around a bit!
Thanks for listening/reading!
